Dogs4Me Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Good thread, sad that I missed so much of it…looks like some folks have dug up some solid buys, cheers to that! I just recently scored a few new bottles…got a store pick Weller 107, a Makers Mark Cellar Aged 2024, and a Four Roses 135th Anniversary Limited Edition for 2023. 1
happycamper Posted Tuesday at 07:24 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:24 PM I've been lazy on this. My neighbor brought this and a larceny barrel proof over. I've had the vanilla larceny and was not impressed. The barrel proof is much better. The bernheim wheated though is wonderful. Very smooth. I picked this up just before Christmas. It got a lot better reviews than the base michters. It's great. Mellow and smooth while being flavorful. These two are store picks from my local liquor store. The Russell's reserve is robust, big, and flavorful but not real peppery. The MM is cask strength and it's a gem. The stave finishing on this bottle is great and the extra proof is great, brings some syrupy complexity that makers usually lacks. 2 1

I'm always tempted whenever I see one of the MM store picks - enough granular info on those labels to make me drool before it ever reaches the glass - and have yet to try a RR SiB I didn't like.
The San Diegan Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Hey @tailingpermit - according to this Reddit post, Publix in Central FL has been receiving BT drops that include EHT BP - OP claims he got the BP for $75:
Chile_Ute Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I had an old fashioned last night at a friend’s retirement party with Jefferson reserve….bartender used a little more bitters and less sugar….honestly I just disappeared at my table for 10 minutes sipping. I am a severe novice at the bourbon thing but it’s rare I have a drink where I focus on it instead of who I’m with.
