We’ve learned his degree was bogus, his knowledge is scientifically thin, and his business savvy is about in line with Trump’s. (That is, REALLY needs a rich daddy and rich friends to succeed) 1 1

Literally just trying to get the old space threads I had going for 5 years back on here. Contribute or bounce the fuck off you skinny dick clown Start your own Elon rage thread...that is not what this is about...

You were 30 seconds away from extolling his genius while he currently posts “hmm” in response to a tweet about the efficacy of nuking Gaza and creating a white colony on the moon, admit it. 1

He didn't even fucking mention Elon. You're just picking fights to pick fights. You can have intelligent discussions about things without raging at people. 3

Other than being an obtuse jackass, what’s the point? 3
Bison Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I love threads like this one and I'm wondering if I will still be around (45 at the end of this month) to see mankind touch down on Mars. It'll be cool to see another moonwalk by the USA before going to Mars down the road. 1

Said the biggest issue is the bone density you lose- lost about 8 percent in a year- was like an 80 year old when he got back to earth. A mars trip would be three years at least. Got a bit to work through and I hope we see it in our lifetimes. 2

azgreg Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Makes me think of when Scott Kelley came back from being in space for a year or so and preliminary reports were that his DNA changed but that wasn't the case.

We have multiple ways with our current technology and understanding to counter act the simulated most common negative outcomes of the past! One is simulating gravity via Centrifugal force. You can look up the formula for it but even a slowly moving rotating force in the vaccum conditions of space could replicate earth like gravity with bare minimal next to zero extra energy cost. The other is limiting duration time with more advanced propulsion. We are on the precipice of realizing a mere glimpse of humanities potential. The US leading this multinational, Trans global push into space makes me proud. 2
