The Chargers lost or got rid of Austin Ekeler, Mike Williams, Keenan Allen and Gerald Everett so Herbert is losing his starting running back, WR1, WR2 and TE.  When baby QBs grow up they eat all the money.  Don’t know what Harbaugh has planned.

Losing Keenan Allen is going to really hurt. Last year’s first rounder is going to have to make a significant jump… and the offense really stalled when Ekeler was out. Going to have to knock this draft out of the park.

So the Pac-12 basically owns this draft.

Remember when HLB told us Penix would get whipped by Texas and Nix was washed up and was only good at Auburn? Penix and Nix wouldn’t get an invite to NY for the Heisman.

Jayden Daniels wasn’t a real QB until he went to LSU.

As a seahawk fan, I am a little disappointed we didn't draft a QB, but obviously the top 6 were all gone by the time of our pick at 16. In retrospect, I actually wish that Nix had fallen to us. I think he has the highest floor of the top 6 QBs, and seems like a very good decision-maker. Next year's draft does not look nearly as promising for QBs.

Curious to see how Christian Ponder’s career shakes out a second time around.

Ouch. That is not a very favorable comparison for Mr. Nix. I see him more as a mobile Goff.

Nix could easily end up the #2 QB in the class. I don't get the hate. Name a single thing he doesn't do well? PFF removed all screens and RPOs and he was still their 2nd highest graded guy.

Comp% 1

YPA 5

AYPA 2

TD% 2

INT% 1*(and ZERO fumbles. not lost, at all)

Completions 1

Passing TDs 1

Total TDs 1

QBR 2

Throw in 20 rushing TDs in 2 years and 61 games played in 5 years. Nix has a higher comp% on 15/20 air yard throws than Penix Jr and has basically zero injury concern. (I LOVE MPJ)

Troy Franklin's ADOT was like 4th in the nation.

Like come the fuck on. Kurt Warner and Chase Daniels say Oregon runs the most NFL concepts of any of the QBs drafted. He's elite, and more likely to translate than almost any of those guys. Too bad he's in Denver.

Brett Kollman had a couple guys on his show, or went on someone's show and some dude said "sure he hits big plays downfield but it's only because of the underneath stuff". Meanwhile JJ McCarthy runs play action 25 times a game and they don't call that out? lmao, it's the same thing. Another dude said Nix looked "rehearsed" in some some nasty tone of voice. Like practicing and being a master of the play is a bad thing? FFS.

I was pleased with the Nix selection as a Broncos fan.  In Sean Payton's offense, you just need to be a good game manager and I think Nix is just that.  Nix will have the benefit of playing in the shadow of Shedeur Sanders and the Buffs football program this year and then come 2025, the spotlight will be on him.

Nix won't be in the spotlight but Sanders won't either after they go 4-8 again.

Think UCLA can get to 4-8 in the B1G?

NFL schedules released last night.

I don't like the Broncos schedule especially the opening part:

@Seahawks

Steelers & Russell Wilson

@Bucs

@Jets

There's also a stretch of @Ravens, @Chiefs, and vs Falcons.

I'm not a fan of the new Broncos uniforms either.

My Dolphins don't get their typical early season heat advantages this year between playing Jacksonville to open the season and two night games. Finishing the season in Cleveland and New Jersey is gonna suck as well.
