glduck Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 First week of the season and you just got the best non-conference win anyone will have all year. Quote
clpp01 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Not many things match the enjoyment of beating Duke Quote
utenation Posted November 11, 2023 Author Posted November 11, 2023 Great win. AZ looks good in hoops and pigskin. Hats off to your athletic department. Quote
utenation Posted November 11, 2023 Author Posted November 11, 2023 OSU in a tight battle with Troy. 2nd OT. Quote

glduck Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Not sure, but I remember them hilariously losing Coach K’s home finale and then had to have a really awkward ceremony afterwards. I wanted to inject that straight into my veins. Quote

MrBug708 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 UCLA has some talented freshmen Euros but they will take some time to get into Cronin's circle of trust. We have very little outside shooting. Quote
utenation Posted November 11, 2023 Author Posted November 11, 2023 Utah bakes another cupcake in SLC. Meh. Not impressed. Step up in competition starts next with The Charleston Classic. Wake Forrest on 11/16. Quote

Including the 2 games they have played so far this season over the past 10 seasons they are 149-19 at home which includes the outlier covid season were they lost 5 games. Going back to the 99-00 season they are 369-35 Quote

utenation Posted November 13, 2023 Author Posted November 13, 2023 UW trailing Nevada in Seattle in the first half. Nevada was a tourney team last year. Quote
utenation Posted November 17, 2023 Author Posted November 17, 2023 Nice win for Utah tonight. Wake Forest is a quick gritty team. Our zone defense bothered them in the second half. Branden Carlson was money tonight. 31 points, 5 blocks. Not sure about playing Houston next. They are super good defensively. Quote

Caught the last 10 minutes (son had a game) and liked their intensity. Carlson looks less soft underneath so far. Quote

Orange Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Between Troy and App State we’ve only needed 3 OTs to get two wins, so I guess you could say things are going pretty awesome in Corvallis. Quote
utenation Posted November 17, 2023 Author Posted November 17, 2023 Utah hanging tough with #6 Houston. 1 point game with about 7 mins to go. Madsen on fire with 7 threes. Quote
utenation Posted November 17, 2023 Author Posted November 17, 2023 Houston completely eliminated our height advantage. Their 6’7” dudes played like 7 footers. Long arms. All their guards go right up the chest of our shot blockers. 6 point game with a minute to go but they pulled away with late 3’s. Utah played good. Just outmatched in this one. I think Utah will be a bubble team if we stay remotely healthy. 1 Quote

Again I got to see about the last 8 minutes. Quote
