In “related” news, insiders on the flag waiving gameday thing have been told GAMEDAY will not be coming to Pullman no matter what.

this is just me, but I think part of the coach prime hype was to construct a narrative other than realignment which could become dangerous for ESPN.

Big 12 was smart to pay just $2.5M at the time.  Just imagine the going price before the Oregon game.

Just another proof that money is running college athletics these days.

I’m not sure what the legal ramifications of paying that “ bonus” are but it’s pretty fucked up in my book.  USC and UCLA leaving for double(or more) income makes sense as a business decision.

You’ve been celebrating the fall of the P12 since CU joined the conference.  How exciting to break up a P5 conference and take bribes along the way.

Week 5

Utah at Oregon State...will there be a Rising sighting on the football field this Friday?  Line is 3.0 in favor of OSU.

USC at CU...USC agreed to the 10 am game so they can get eyeballs on them on Fox Big Noon.  Maybe CU @ ASU will be on the P12N next weekend.

ASU at Cal...who will be the ASU QB for this game?  Looks like injuries is ravaging the Sun Devil QB room.

Oregon at Stanford...Ducks just need to show up for this game and then they can turn their focus to UW.

UW at Arizona...Huskies just need to show up for this game and then they can turn their focus to UO.

It’s not on you but damn is your school taking bribes now?  Getting 1 of the 4 corners was always the domino effect.

Possibly.  And this was over well before that money.  The pac had months to put something together and didn’t.

in truth, it ended when the la schools left.  It sucks, but that’s the truth.

Money is what makes college sports go these days.  I long for the days of the old BIg 8 where it was much less about the TV money and filling the stands with fans.  I'm sure you enjoyed the MWC when TCU was in that conference and that was a pretty good conference back then.

Looking at the timelines, if ESPN offered the P12 30mm in the fall of 2022 and we said no, that’s on Presidents.

And if the shitty apple deal was truly the only contract on the table this summer, the timeline is water under the bridge.

That still doesn’t make offering and taking bribes less greasy.

Thanks for making my point. Utah and TCU in the MWC has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

All of it is greasy.  It was always about the money.

3: Oregon 264 Yds (national rank # 11)

4: AZ 314 Yds (national rank #37)

5: OSU  327 Yds (national rank #45

6. Cal 340 Yds (national rank # 55)

9: Washington 371 Yds (national rank #72)

11: Stanford 430 Yds (national rank #118)

12: CU 475 Yds (national rank #125)

Total Offense:

1: UW 593 Yds (national rank # 1)

2: Oregon 571 Yds (national rank #2)

3: USC 569 Yds ( national rank #3)

4: WSU 532 Yds (national rank #6)

5: OSU 459 Yds (national rank # 26)

6: Cal 456.6 Yds (national rank # 27)

7: UCLA 456 Yds (national rank #28)

8: AZ 450.5 Yds (national rank # 31)

9: CU 409 Yds (national rank # 57)

10: Stanford 374 Yds (national rank #82)

11: Utah 322 Yds (national rank #112)

12:  ASU 308 Yds (national rank # 120)

Obviously these numbers will change with conference play but a snap shot for now.  Oregon looks like the most complete team on both sides of the ball.  And the offensive #'s show how much Utah is struggling without offensive play makers.
