MrBug708 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 To make a different thread than the 2013/2014 one. UCLA lands 4*, #2 PG/SG, Aaron Holiday, brother of Jrue Holiday.
RogueDuck Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I can't find the 2014 thread, but 5* SG JaQuan Lyle commits to UO today.
PapaG Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I can't find the 2014 thread, but 5* SG JaQuan Lyle commits to UO today. Lyle is a PG. I wonder if Artis will be transferring?
Mano Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Reports that 7' 0'' Austrian Center Jakob Pöeltl has committed to Utah. http://lighttheu.com/2014/04/utes-get-commit-jakob-poeltl/
All Hail Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Reports that 7' 0'' Austrian Center Jakob Pöeltl has committed to Utah. http://lighttheu.com/2014/04/utes-get-commit-jakob-poeltl/ This is a fantastic get for you guys. This guy is one of the more advanced 7- footers I've seen come out of HS in awhile. He was heading to Cal until Cal hired Martin over former Mike Montgomerry assistant Travis Decuire. It will be interesting to see if Martin can hold onto Rorie and Diallo, who opened up their commitments after Decuire wasn't retained.
glduck Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 oregon gets 4-star pg kendall small. i believe it's our first commit for the class of 2015.
Mano Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Marko Kovacevic is transferring from Utah. Rumors are that Namon Wright may be coming if he can get out of his commit.
Mano Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Also, they broke ground on Utah's new basketball practice facility today:
clpp01 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Arizona landed 5* guard Justin Simon yesterday to go along with previously committed 5* guard Tyler Dorsey. Up next hopefully will be Ivan Rabb
KUGRDON Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Kent got a commitment from Ny Redding, PG Westwind Academy.
clpp01 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Technically a transfer but Arizona picked up Ryan Anderson from Boston College where he put up 14/15 ppg and 7/8 rpg over the past 2 seasons. He will have to sit out this season but he should provide some much needed depth and experience to the 15/16 team that if everything goes as projected will be replacing their entire starting line-up from this upcoming season.
KUGRDON Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 WSU releases Tremaine Isabell from his LOI. Grades? Most reasonable rumor is that the likelihood that Isabell would be academically eligible was getting more and more dubious and that Kent decided to cut him loose and pursue 4* and 19th rated PG Ahmaad Rorie out of Tacoma. Rorie has offers from Cal, Wichita State, UW and WSU. Kent can pretty much offer the starting position to Rorie.
-AC- Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 http://www.latimes.com/sports/varsity-times/la-sp-vi-boys-basketball-69-chimezie-metu-commits-to-usc-20140512-story.html Chimezie Metu, a 6-foot-9 junior at Lawndale, has committed to USC,
glduck Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 pg jaquan lyle/casey benson sg joseph young/jalil abdul-bassit sf elgin cook/dwayne benjamin pf jordan bell/ray kasongo c michael chandler/ one rape scandal later, it would appear that altman now has 4 spots to fill for 2014-15... and that's assuming all the new kids get in. i don't hate that starting five, but only having three players taller than 6'6 is kind of scary, and all three will be brand new to the program. any word on transfers? unsigned high school seniors?
glduck Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 if twitter rumors are to be believed (and when are they not?), sounds like oregon is now the leader for pg ahmaad rorie.
RogueDuck Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 if twitter rumors are to be believed (and when are they not?), sounds like oregon is now the leader for pg ahmaad rorie. He's a duck! Nice class for Altman, and a much needed recruit going into next year.
KUGRDON Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Jeff Pollard(Bountiful HS)Bountiful, UT 6-8/215 06/25/2014 Washington State
KUGRDON Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 It may turn out to be inconsequential but SIX-FOOT-TEN CENTER Valentine Izundu will transfer to Washington State from Houston. File under development project. The old timers will remember that's exactly what James Donaldson was.
glduck Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 ray kasongo denied admission to UO, now being courted by cal, gonzaga, and memphis. memphis I get, but how the fuck are your academics so out of order oregon says no and berkeley is all, 'come talk to us'?
