If there has ever been a rumor about a school leaving someone he pops up claiming to have a source at that university every time.  If we crowd sourced a made up rumor it would only be a matter of time before he picked it up and ran with it.

Things he has said were happening

- Arizona, Arizona St & Colorado leaving to the B12 (multiple occasions since the Pac-16 fell apart)

- Arkansas & LSU leaving the SEC to go to the B12

- Nebraska leaving the B1G to return to the B12

- West Virginia leaving the B12 to go to the ACC 

and on and on,  if you throw enough stuff out there you are bound to be right at some point.  I know it makes it sound like I hate the guy but I don't.  I actually find his schtick to be entertaining to follow, I just don't take anything he says seriously.

Guy is from Charleston in WV which is known for big FBI drug busts...no surprise if he's using some stuff but he has been accurate on some of that stuff of late like Greg has been telling you.  Also if you search online, the WV Board of Regents-like body for all the colleges (just like AZ) is located in Charleston, the capital city of WV.  Could be some regents who are well connected to athletics with loose lips.

I can understand if he was being spoon fed information from someone within the West Virginia circle but that doesn't explain how he seemingly has a source at every university that pops up in a rumor.  What he does is he combs the internet for tidbits then spins a story that he will push.  As an example.

I went to college on the east coast about 20 years ago and attended games at Maryland during the 2001 season.  I was impressed by how many Clemson fans showed up for that game and that was when they were nowhere near being the contenders they have been for at least a decade.  They would not like seeing those empty stands at Stanford Stadium and ditto for the FSU fans.  I understand why Clemson & FSU want out of the ACC and it isn't all about the money.

Stanford & Cal would really benefit the ACC Olympic sports scene.  There's also the academic relationships.  Just like the PAC-12 is contrasted from the Big 12 out west, the same goes for the ACC and the SEC.
