MrBug708 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Oregon was given a 12 seed, but in name alone. Should be able to get into the Sweet 16 in that draw and the NCAA obviously dinged them for a weak OOC
glduck Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 okie lite isn't exactly terrible, nor is oregon the model of consistency or, y'know, talent.
MrBug708 Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 Cal a 12 seed, but in San Jose. Colorado with a 10 seed? UCLA with a 6 seed vs Minnesota
MrBug708 Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 Belmont is a tough draw, but Arizona probably doesn't deserve the better 6 seed in the west IMO. Not going 0-3 vs UCLA this year
MrBug708 Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 ****** probably enjoyed that Boise St. gift
MrBug708 Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 Pac got hosed in general. Oregon particularly. They made a point about SOS. As GL said, Ok lite isn't chopped liver, but it's probably a better path than as a 8/9 seed
Bison Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 My former college roommate will be cheering for the Buffs since he can't stand the Illini but I don't necessarily like the #10 seed for the Buffs since if they win, they'll go against the #2 seed Miami who just won the ACC tourney. I'm hoping for at least one win for the Buffs. UCLA might have a shot at the Elite 8 or even Final Four with their seeding. If Oregon didn't win yesterday, they could have been NIT bound.
Bison Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Look at the bright side, five teams in the dance this year.

UCLA would play Florida in the next round. They have a bad track record there...lol
KUGRDON Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I feel badly for Tony Bennett and Virginia who were not able to overcome early season injuries and resulting losses to some very poor teams. However, there is no question in my mind the Cavaliers were better than, and had much higher quality wins than, Boise State, Middle Tennessee and St. Mary's. That said, they had some chances to sew a bid up at the end of the season and didn't get it done.
Damage U Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 ****** probably enjoyed that Boise St. gift ...5...4...3...2...1...Hi ******.
RogueDuck Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Ok St is a weird draw IMO. Thet have great guard play, but I think Kazemi and the boys can win the battle of the boards. If we play the way we played UCLA, UO should win. But play like they did at CU and UU, and they would lose.
BuffaloSoldier72 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Happy that the Pac got so many teams in. Like the draws or not, hope all teams can make some things happen here. I think we have players to do some damage. Personally, I love the draw that CU got. I definitely respect some of the things Illinois and Miami have put together this season but they are far from unbeatable. Arizona laid down a 20 pt beat-down on Miami for instance. On the other side of the bracket, Indiana probably meets NC State in Round 2. That will not be an easy game for the Hoosiers. There are going to be some surprises from the East Bracket.
EastCoastFan Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I don't worry about the seeding, just who the opponents are and where the games are played. Getting five teams in is a big step in the right direction for the Pac-12, putting us in the company (ACC, Big XII) where we ought to be. --Cal can beat UNLV with a home cooking game. And 'Cuse coming to San Jose isn't a given as a loss. --The Oregon that we saw in the Pac tourney can beat both Okie State and St. Louis. If those are the Ducks who show up. --Zona has a quietly tough draw with Belmont(just ask Stanford). Win that, and the Lobos also won't be an easy take. --Colorado, if Dinwiddie is hot and Booker regains his shooting, could run right over The Illini. However, Miami would be a much bigger challenge, even in Austin. --UCLA, even with the loss of Jordan Adams, ought to beat Minnie. However, Florida is the type of team that can beat you by 30 if you're not on and they are.
MrBug708 Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 I'm to lazy to look, but how did the MWC (this year's version) do vs the PAC-12 as far as placement and bids?
