  1. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6219705/2025/03/25/stanford-fires-troy-taylor-andrew-luck/ Neck beard made the call. Nick Rolovich is an analyst at Cal and would entertain the call. Bronco Mendenhall would probably do well there and has no issues with leaving. I can't really think of anyone else at the moment.
  2. Game is scheduled for Tue night at 6:10 PST on Tru TV. This will be the first time the Aztecs have played the Tarheels in 35 years. Heels were 1-6 in quad 1 games; Aztecs were 5-6 IIRC. Opening line is SDSU +4. Hopefully Goon is back and up to speed - upside to losing to Boise in the quarterfinals is it gave us a little more time to rest and get healthy. Go Aztecs!
  3. Don't look now but things may be about to get interesting as Val Ackerman, the Big East commissioner has stated that the Big East and ACC may be discussing a merger for basketball. This topic has been gaining traction recently with people such as Coach K and others saying that they think it should happen. In my opinion, this seems like preparation for the super league because when the football teams in the ACC leave the NCAA and join the super league, it becomes a no brainer to combine the conferences into what would be one of most powerful bball leagues in the country.
  4. Any prediction that have UNC lose 3 games or more is a suspect. Not in Belicheck's genome. https://247sports.com/college/unlv/longformarticle/college-footballs-10-daring-predictions-for-2025-season-246153483/#2605383

  6. It will be at Berkeley in 2028 and in San Jose in 2031. These games will be well attended. https://sjsuspartans.com/news/2025/01/30/san-jose-state-adds-home-and-home-with-cal-for-first-games-since-1996
  7. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/43623233/sources-espn-ok-option-televise-acc-sports-36 ESPN has agreed to pick up its option to continue broadcasting ACC sports through 2036, the network and conference announced Thursday. The agreement is a critical step toward securing stability for the conference. With the television deal settled, the ACC is now working toward a settlement with Clemson and Florida State that could end those schools' ongoing lawsuits against the conference.f
  8. Welcone to the G8, ACC and Big 12:
  9. For those who like streaky coaches, Narduzzi's your man. Started 7-0 this season then lost out to finish 7-6. Had two 4-game losing streaks in 2023. Finished 2022 with a 5-game winning streak. Finished 2021 winning his last 10 regular season games. Started 2020 by winning his first three then lost the next four. If anybody here follows Pitt, I'd be curious to hear what you think of the guy.
  10. By that, I mean we just did. Like hard. Went balls deep and everything. The team had a nightmare trip just getting up to San Jose. It's a 90 minute flight ffs. But nope. Fogged in, diverted, delayed, and rerouted, part of the team bussed up there, while other parts of the team slept in airport terminals due to unforeseen flight delays. The team saw the court at SAP Center for the first time at 7:05, with a 7:30 scheduled tip. And they opened colder than a cucumber up a witch's c*nt, going 1-for-17. Fuck You Cal opened up a 10-2 lead. Then we went on a 16-1 run and never looked back, taking a 25-16 lead into the half. Cal was averaging something like 85 ppg. And we held them to 16 at the half. Mark Madsen was hate-shitting himself in frustration. It was 67-38 at the 4:00 mark. We curb stomped them. And yeah - fuck 'em. Normally I would want a team we just beat to go on a tear the rest of the season, but not these meaty clits... I hope they get a train run on them playing on the road in the ACC. Them and Stanford.

  13. Boise State moves ahead of BYU and into CFP bye territory - ESPN Boise State has that fourth bye game. Oregon, Miami, and Texas are the three other first round bye teams. First Round Games: BYU (still assumed B12 champ) plays at Ohio State Alabama @ Norte Dame Georgia @ Penn State Ole Miss @ Indiana Love that idea that the SEC teams have to travel to frigid and cold locations for their first round games.

  19. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/41307506/acc-clemson-florida-state-renew-discussions-revenue-distribution-model New GOR would run through the 2030-31 season which is also the expiration date for the B1G & B12 media rights deals. ESPN still needs to pick up the media rights option to 2036 (or 2030). Not picking up the option means the ACC has just two seasons left on the ESPN deal after this season which is not ideal.
