Your B1G champs are going to have to earn it. If things play out by seed, we’re looking at games against Ohio State, Texas, and Georgia to win it all.

I didn’t realize James Franklin was such a bitch.

To be the best you got to beat the best.

The Mountaineers underperformed this season but kudos to Marshall (also from West Virginia). The Thundering Herd dominated Louisiana 31-3 in the SBC championship. 👍

WVU bit off more than it could chew with that insane OOC schedule that had Penn State & Pitt on it.  Next season it's just Pitt, @Ohio, and a FCS team but there's also five road Big 12 games.

Zero chance they'd eliminate an 11-2 team already in the playoff because they went 8-0 on conference and were forced to play an extra game, and replace them with a team that went 9-3 and didn't even qualify for their CCG. Alabama lost to Vandy. Vandy lost to Georgia State. Alabama lost to OU. OU was 2-6 in the SEC.

At least that's what I tell myself. And other people.

Watched that Bama-OU game...I agree that Bama should be on the outside looking in.

I wasn't questioning you, multiple articles have said it, but nobody has ever said what that cause would be.

Yeah those articles didn't say what the cause could have been.

Gundy will be starting over next year with two new coordinators and probably a massive roster overhaul.  Might get him fired after next season anyway.

West Virginia's Garrett Greene is a very tough QB, but the O-line was sketchy and he took a beating this season because he was forced to run a lot. I think Nicco Marchiol is a purer passer, but he didn't see as much playing time as I had hoped. It'll be nice if interim HC Chad Scott plays both of them in the upcoming Frisco Bowl vs Memphis. 🏈 Let's Go Eers!

Given the coaching change, WVU's QBs can enter the portal.

I agree.  It should not be a debate.  Jeanty is the most impressive player I have seen this season.  Travis Hunter is tough, and in incredible shape, but he is not the best at either position he plays.  Deion Sanders has put on quite the PR campaign for the young man, but I hope the voters do the right thing and give Ashton Jeanty the award he deserves.

Hunter won the Big 12 DPOTY and almost won the OPOTY too.

He played against 10 P4 schools this year where Jeanty only played one P4 team all season long.  There is a big difference playing a G5 and P4 schedule.

    Average WR and DB.

The most impressive thing about him is if he trained more he could maybe finish a marathon.  MAYBE

A bitch of a human being too

Hunter won the Big 12 Defensive Player Of The Year and if it wasn't for his teammate Shedeur Sanders, he would have also won the Big 12 Offensive Player Of The Year.  What Hunter did this year was extraordinary.

He only missed one half this season as well.

Jeanty did have an extraordinary season but Hunter was just more extraordinary that's all.

Why would Okie St have cause to fire Gundy?

Just what I saw on X...maybe his DUI comments at the Big 12 Media Days were enough to be considered humiliating the school.

Looks like Gundy is staying with a restructured deal.  Going 0-9 in the Big 12 with 20+ returning starters is just pure coaching malpractice.

Boise wins the Big12 this year.  Not sure that is a good argument.  Guessing Boise would be doing back flips to be playing ASU Colorado Byu Iowa St in the playoffs.  Come on.

Ha ha...that will not happen.  There is a significant difference in playing in a P4 conference versus a G5 conference.  Just because BSU's ranking is higher than the Big 12 CCG participants doesn't mean BSU would win the Big 12.

T Boone (rip) isn't rising from the grave to throw good money after bad.  I'd be interested to see who is paying for this.

There are other OSU boosters out there that just don't have Boone T Pickens name.

Also sources are saying that OSU might be able to fire Gundy for cause.

  11. Speaking of Travis Hunter, he won Big 12 Defensive Player Of The Year and received honorable mention for Big 12 Offensive Player Of The Year that went to Sheuder Sanders.  Hunter could have won both honors in that case and I don't think there ever was a player who seriously challenged for such honors in the same season.  That will be a factor in the Heisman voting.

Jeanty is a great player but people out there know how bad the MWC was overall this year and will weigh that fact when voting for the Heisman.  Big 12 on the other hand had nine teams in the running for the Big 12 CCG the final weekend of the season and the Buffs just needed Houston to beat BYU to get into the CCG but that didn't happen.
