  1. You might be right since after we conquer Greenland, Trump could be setting his eyes on Scotland.
  2. Almost three months away from needing to have a school withdraw from their current conference in order to give the PAC one more full football member. This lack of urgency isn't new to any fan of former Pac-12 schools.
  3. Is it really called the British Commonwealth?
  4. As RSF has shown, you do not have a good understanding of the topic at hand.
  5. https://www.syracuse.com/orangefootball/2025/03/colorado-syracuse-file-paperwork-for-joint-practices-scrimmage.html 'Cuse and CU signed paperwork to have joint practices this spring.
  6. If you look throughout history, an new and improved way to communicate and educate people has led to overhauls of human governance. We had those stone tablets (as Moses got the Ten Commandments from God), followed by scrolls, and then followed by the printing press. Now we are clearly in the digital age and how we learn, read, and communicate has changed which means human governance is going through an overhaul not only in the US but the whole world. As a Federal worker, I can easily tell you that the Federal government does really need an overhaul when it comes to its recordkeeping and computer information systems but the way we are going about it is a little sketchy. Also there's also the coming automation of many jobs to consider. The labor force potentially is going to undergo a massive shakeup (humanoids are on the way) and there will be unfortunately more unemployment as a result. I'm already seeing this with the videogame industry as AI is potentially replacing some jobs. There are many other areas experiencing layoffs as part of a restructuring of how everything is being run. I'm just hoping I am not caught up in that unemployment wave at this point and just work the same job for about another decade before I can actually retire (almost 10 years away unless I can get VERA & VSIP (almost four years away). China is ahead of us when it comes to modernizing their own country and that is why they are likely to come out ahead in this case and Russia will just follow China because China isn't the United States of America. This infighting within the United States of America would be the reason why we might not be setting the new rules of the international order. The Democrats screaming to RESIST aren't doing this country any good and they are more worried about the money they are receiving for their NGOs instead of the well being of this country. That is why we voted Trump back into power and now the Dem party is having their lowest approval ratings in a very long time if not ever. Just wait until DOGE publishes the list of people who got rich off the government. Maybe the Dems will cease to exist as a political party before next year's elections. We are going to hit 250 years as an independent country next year. We are going to have to take steps to ensure that we get to 500 years and democracies do not last forever. Those steps will include changes to how we govern and administer laws with today & tomorrow's technology and society. Will our democracy work to our benefit as well tomorrow as it has done for many years?
  7. I'm sure Trump already knows about that part. There are a lot of Americans that want to become Ex-Pats and joining the Commonwealth could make it easier for those Ex-Pats to move to a Commonwealth country. I'm also interested in the geopolitical implications between the Commonwealth/US and the EU.
  8. I don't get why people seem so against electric cars. Aren't electric cars supposed to require less maintence than ICE vehicles and one thing that caught my eye was that they don't require oil changes but I'm not sure about other EV maintence. It's only a matter of time before EVs replace ICE anyway.
  9. Guess Canada won’t be getting the F-47 either…just a cheap Eurofighter.
  10. Trump will get shot if that happens.
  11. Thought you were talking about Nancy Pelosi.
  12. The filibuster is not in the US Constitution. The political risks are there if it is to be abolished for good.
  13. Well one GOP senator (Rand) voted no on that measure because that is on brand for him and in this case, you needed 60+ votes to break the filibuster which would have guaranteed a shutdown which goes against what the Dems believe which is keeping the government open. For next fiscal year, it's going to be a bigger fight because the budget will be smaller after divesting of those Federal employees and excess. GOP could nuke the filibuster at that time but that means the Dems will do likewise and end up enlarging the government. A fine line to walk.
  14. A shutdown would have been very bad for non-essential Fed workers such as myself. Musk & Trump would have gone ahead and fired every non-essential Fed employee. I do not understand why some Dems are pissed off at Schumer for choosing the best option to advance the bill to the final vote. I just received the VERA/VSIP offer via email for my agency and after evaluating the offer, I'm going to stick around for the upcoming two massive RIF waves. Those offers are valid until next Wednesday so I'm thinking the first RIF wave would occur the following week which would be on the week of March 31 to April 4th.
  15. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/questions-for-each-big-12-football-team-in-spring-colorados-next-phase-under-deion-sanders-among-storylines/ CBS Sports report on the Big 12 this spring. What does your team need to do in order to contend? For CU, it's QB play and it sounds like Salter is going to open the season as QB1.
  16. I really enjoyed no divisions after going through that in the original Big 12 & PAC-12. I’m in favor of no divisions.
  17. If CU had a returning QB1, I'd have not paid as much attention.
  18. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-12-back-to-divisions-league-mulls-college-football-playoff-aq-options-with-play-in-games-at-forefront/ Big 12 going back to divisions? Might happen or may not happen.
  19. The PAC is still kicking the media rights deal can down the road...no difference from what it was before the rest of the PAC schools left.
  20. But Rich Rod doesn't want his players to do Tik Tok dances because it would make that Hard Edge moniker dull. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/44209533/west-virginia-coach-rich-rodriguez-bans-tiktok-dancing
  21. Any other Big 12 teams having spring ball already? CU just started theirs today.
