If he’s going to White Sands (from ABQ) he should cut through Alamogordo to Cloudcroft…from there can cut through Ruidoso to the north or straight east but then has to backtrack north to Roswell…so I’d do Ruidoso and Lincoln county to Roswell. The museum is a one time said you do it kind of thing. I’m not going to hype it up. Roswell through Artesia to get to Carlsbad….the caverns alone are worth the drive through the area. Adobe Rose is a little surprise outside Artesia. Solid eats and drinks. If he does Cloudcroft to Roswell would time that during the daytime. Great scenery.

I don’t know if you were around when Coastie tapped out….weird someone I’ve never met struck me with the regret I never knew them in the “real world.” You are the second. I don’t “know” you but humanizing the persona of Convert makes this sting more. And for the record, that isn’t a negative. Life, as glorious as it is, hurts. That’s the trade off. If it didn’t matter, no one would care. Not sure where this was supposed to go but felt I had to throw it out there.

I had an old fashioned last night at a friend’s retirement party with Jefferson reserve….bartender used a little more bitters and less sugar….honestly I just disappeared at my table for 10 minutes sipping. I am a severe novice at the bourbon thing but it’s rare I have a drink where I focus on it instead of who I’m with.

That’s cool. Not AZ, but recently passed through Newport, OR. Holy cow what a gorgeous area. Mrs and I were talking about this thread last night. We may want to move to a place with water and green (but. It south, can’t take the humidity)

Junior. Most his interests are far above the Mason Dixon line…..Heat+humidity is a hard stop. He’s interested in a 2-15k undergrad population. Weee hitting Boston in the spring to see some smaller schools in the area.

Tacoma I think….we are planning a campus tour late spring.

I’m not far off that track. My approach is to retire and take 12-18 months with my wife to assess what truly makes us happy. Likely we will stalk our son as he is off to college/post grad.

If I had to live in AZ I’d go Flagstaff area in the summer and Tucson in the winter. I do like the Payson and White Mountains areas too.
