  1. Bummer, dude was hilarious. Just the fact that he successfully stuck to the same schtick for decades (lousy baseball player) takes some kinda skill. RIP Uke.
  2. Nice win for the Rebs. I watched most of the second half. What happened with your big - Whaley? That guy gave SDSU, specifically LeDee, fits last year.
  3. Convert, I don't know if you're still with us - I surely hope you are. I hadn't visited this board in about a week and never go to the political board as my heart probably wouldn't be able to take it, so I'm just now hearing the news. We're probably about the same age, and in the early 90's I lived in a house on the other side of Clairemont Mesa Blvd from you - on Peyton Place. Since my housemates and I were all bachelors in our mid/late twenties, we did have a few blowout, drunken parties. Who knows, maybe you and your buddies went to one or two. That said, I'm really sorry to hear this news, especially the living in pain part, but glad you are doing your best to say goodbye and make arrangements to ease the troubles for your family and friends. As many have said, I hope to encounter you on the other side, wherever that may be. My sincere regards to you and your close friends and family.
  4. Yeah, I'd vote for 'Hells Bells' too, but only specifically for Trevor Hoffman entering the game in the 9th inning for the Padres. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  5. To be a little more accurate, they didn't really earmark their specific Players Era earnings for charity, but they did donate a certain dollar amount from each and every player, even the non-scholarship walk-ons, to 'Feeding San Diego'. It was a completely player-driven idea, and a great story. Coach Dutcher is obviously very proud of his squad.... https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/2024/12/31/bryce-miller-aztecs-selfless-act-for-families-offers-lesson-bigger-than-basketball/
  6. Good to see the Rebel fans have transferred their basketball swagger over to football. Kinda the polar opposite of us SDSU fans. ๐Ÿ˜‹ We'll see how long it lasts.
  7. Meh, sheep don't watch football. He'll be fine.
  8. Either a Joser grad or an Aztec grad was running the graphics. I have no doubt. Cheers to the guilty party. ๐Ÿป
  9. Having your airport next to a huge body of water, fog's gonna happen.
  10. In this particular case, we have SoCal weather to blame. We can't blame San Jose, or even Laramie for once! ๐Ÿป Since, I'm sure you asked - the weather, other than the evening/early morning fog has been beautiful here. Might get a little rain on Xmas Eve though - I'm sure you sympathize.
  11. Cal Coach Mike Montgomery, after SDSU basketball beat his team in 2011: โ€œItโ€™s still a big deal for them to play us โ€“ the Pac-12, too.โ€ Cal QB Dave Barr after SDSU football beat his team in 1994: โ€œHow do you deal with this? I mean, we lost to San Diego stinkinโ€™ State.โ€ We keep the receipts. Maybe Cal can play their Nobel prize winners next time and score more than 50 (9 of which happened when all our walk-ons were on the court).
  12. When Zeigler finally hangs up the typewriter, I'm hoping you take over the beat-writer job at the U-T. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. It's in such a desirable location, I just wish they could make that "concrete city' feel go away. They really erected some ugly as sin buildings slabs of concrete back in the 60's and 70's.
  14. I don't know....Spaztecs might have jinxed it for us.
