  1. Nah. No country has some inherent right to trade with the U.S./investment from the U.S., and America's government is well within its rights to seek compensation for stolen assets. It's one of the few things our government should be doing: protecting a citizen's life, liberty and property. Cuba gives the companies back their shit and we'll let bygones be bygones.
  2. Are they willing to give back all the assets they nationalized (stole) during their communist revolution? If so, then I'm sure we can just end the embargo.
  3. I don't get the hatred toward refugees, though I understand it's something America has wrestled with forever. The nationalists have always whipped people into a frenzy about being invaded by the Irish, Italians, Scots, and so on throughout the ages. The irony is these new nationalists don't see their hypocrisy, as many of them have the blood of refugees in them.
  4. Summon the Rough Riders!
  5. Hang tough. We won't forget you. Goodbye and thanks for being a part of our online lives.
  6. I think the fires in South California have been occurring for tens of thousands of years. They weren't going to stop just because people moved into the area. That said, global warming likely has made them worse. Also making them worse is the bureaucracy and environmental regulations that make prescribed burns difficult to perform. It can take more than 7 years for a prescribed burn to be approved, which is sometimes longer than the natural fire cycle. So—politicians didn't start the fire, but they aren't helping prevent them.
  7. Yes Denmark. Not Norway. Sorry.

  9. Is Trump a global warming true believer? He keeps looking at places that will benefit long term from global warming as places to add to the the U.S. territory.
  10. If Trump can convince that the Greenlanders can have autonomy and give them more than $500 million (the Denmark contribution) per year, I wouldn't say anything is totally off the table. As crazy as it seems, Greenland is not too happy with Norway and could shift toward the U.S. It says it isn't for sale but it also wants to rid itself of colonialist Norway. The U.S. could offer it a Puerto Rico style deal.
