  1. The point is that your source is not correct until the deal is signed. I've heard $10 - $15 million depending on a number of factors. Also a solid source. I'll go with mine since he outlined that nothing is done yet and that it depends on a lot of factors. Who's joining, weeknight FB games, late start times, etc. Media pays more for content that inconveniences us, but benefits them. They have no need for 1 PM Mtn. time games, so they pay less for those. I suspect that we won't really know anything until at least after the lawsuits are settled. Early summer at the earliest IMO.
  2. Honest answer, no hate. UNLV is doing great in the portal but not top 10 killing it kind of stuff. It may be Mullen, but it's still G5 UNLV. You won't start in the top 10, and likely won't finish ranked. Nobody on that team knows anything about anybody else on the team. A completely new roster, in a completely new system, with completely new coaches. I think UNLV will be pretty solid next year, nothing at all like the old days, but there's just too much growing together that 105 guys have to do to become dangerous.
  3. $15 million does seem to be optimistic. I've heard that it's the high side in negotiations. The numbers getting thrown around are obviously affected by how much the Pac is willing to stream, and the different date and time options. From what I've heard, and I'm positive my sources are no more reliable that what @Beaver-Poke and a bunch of podcasters are throwing out there, Apple TV really isn't a player in the negotiations. The CW, Turner, Netflix, Amazon, and a revived P12 network that is not as ambitious as the original (think the MWC Network) are doing most of the talking. No ESPN. No FOX. And thank God, no CBSSports. I have no clue how we'll see $15 million out of that group, but $12 million would have a lot of AD's doing a dance. I think the floor is $10 million, but we'll see.
  4. Awesome. I try to keep up with your broadcasts, but I miss too many. Rashaan was pivotal tonight, far beyond his stat line. He came to CSU with everyone claiming that he was the next Roddy. I thought that was unfair, but he's starting to look like it.
  5. LOL! CSU sucks. No other excuse for the loss. Hey, not terribly impressed with UNLV, but they're not as bad as you think. They were on the road against a team that had a freakishly abnormal (for us) night at the arc. That was because you couldn't take care of the paint without bringing folks in from the perimeter. You do have a problem in the paint, but you're not FCS bound. Fix your frontcourt and you're in the game. I get the "sky is falling" narrative, but it's over the top.
  6. I'd like that. I wouldn't bet on it though.
  7. The kind that can afford to be honest. The kind that doesn't need the work, and doesn't have to sing Kumbayah to put food on the table.
  8. DO IT!!!
  9. I have heard that Turner is very much in the mix. TruTV, TNT, etc. for the PAC.
  10. Good point! Hadn't thought of that.
  11. Apparently @BSUTOP25 got some inside info that we might be having a troll derby in the spring. Getting a head start.
  12. We're all gonna' have to wait on leftovers. The better players that we're after all know what we'll pay and are exploring more lucrative options. When those options run out, we'll get consideration. In other words, none of us at the kiddie table are likely to get a real handle on our rosters until after spring semester.
  13. Under the house ruling thing, the G5, FCS, D2, etc. are all on the hook for paying the lions share of the settlement to previous SA's. There will be no split until they are done milking everybody. By then, I'd be hesitant to guess what CFB will look like.
  14. I was referring to the Tennessee AG. That's the party that sued (along with the CO AG) to allow unlimited transfers without sitting out. The same party that is fighting the house settlements policy that NIL has to be for legitimate purposes and not pay-for-play. They aren't the only fly in the ointment, but they're out in front on every rule that adds short term benefit to the SA's and long term damage to the industry that pays the SA's. As far as the NCAA, I'll stick with my contention that they represent the P4 (mostly P2) and not the student athlete in general.
  15. Need a new governing body that encompasses all collegiate athletic programs, except the P2. Let them keep the NCAA that they've bastardized so much. Five to play five is great and should apply to JUCO's, NAIA, FBS, everybody. Why is the Tennessee AG trying to kill college sports?
