  1. https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/trump-to-begin-large-scale-deportations-tuesday-e1bd89bd?mod=mhp It's behind a paywall, so I don't have a full story on it. I'm sure it'll be aggregated soon, though.
  2. How have I never heard this story before?
  3. First things first, this is a serious thread and there will be zero tolerance for trolling here. You troll, you get a week vacation. I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder, general and social anxiety disorder (with avoidance and panic attacks), and autism spectrum disorder. Medication can be key to helping to mitigate some impacts of anxiety, though I've found for me personally anything short of large doses of Xanax or Klonipin doesn't do a lot of help for me. I take other medication for bipolar disorder, which does help to mitigate it some as well. I've personally made the decision not to use Xanax or Klonopin any longer, and haven't used either for about five years now. I have a very close friend with the same three conditions as I have, but she is medication resistant for biploar and anxiety unfortunately. It's good that the individual in your life is utilizing medication, but you're right that it's still early. I didn't experience much in the way of improvement on medication for nearly six months outside of taking medicine for acute panic attacks. I'm a firm believer in therapy and it has helped me deal with my symptoms and experiences, but it isn't perfect either. I haven't experienced the extreme paranoia that you're describing here, but I have had some bouts of it in the past. Listening to them doesn't mean that you have to validate what they're saying as being true, and in fact it can mean that you can gently push back, if you're careful about it. The friend that I mentioned has more experience with the paranoia, and she will call or text me when she's feeling that way in order to try and sanity check herself, and I do the same with her when I need help. That said, realizing that there was a problem was difficult for both of us to each realize independently, and both of us were able to do that through therapy. I can go into more detail here or if you'd prefer to DM me, I'd be more than happy to talk more about my experiences and offer up some suggestions or simply be a sounding board.
  4. So what I'm taking from this is that your name is Michael Scott.
  5. haha, you beat me to it!
  6. Here's an alien.
  7. He's the incoming President. Duh, most threads are going to be about him and what he's doing/saying. That's common sense.
  8. Why do you feel the need to lie? He literally said those things. We must reform the tax code. Not the need to get dark money, that's that hidden funding behind too many campaign contributions. We need to get it out of our politics. We need to enact an 18-year time limit, term limit, time and term for the strongest ethics -- and the strongest ethics reforms for our Supreme Court. We need to ban members of congress from trading stock while they are in the congress. We need to amend the Constitution to make clear that no president -- no president is immune from crimes that he or she commits while in office. The president's power is not limited. It's not absolute, and it shouldn't be. And in a democracy, there's another danger, the concentration of power and wealth. https://rollcall.com/factbase/biden/transcript/joe-biden-remarks-fairwell-address-to-the-nation-january-15-2025/
  9. Nintendo has finally revealed the successor console to the Nintendo Switch in a short promotional video. It’s called Nintendo Switch 2 and, true to the extensive leaks, it appears to be a larger and more powerful version of its predecessor. Nintendo did not announce a release date or price for the new console in its Switch 2 reveal on Thursday, but the company did confirm a 2025 release window. Nintendo showed only one game running on the Switch 2: a new Mario Kart game. As previously reported, the console is closely modeled on its hugely successful predecessor. It’s a hybrid console, playable both in portable mode and on TV via the use of a dock, with detachable Joy-Con controllers. The hardware’s reveal confirms that Nintendo Switch 2 will be backward compatible with both physical and digital games from the original Switch. It also appears to confirm that Switch 2 Joy-Cons will be connected magnetically to the console, and that it will feature a U-shaped kickstand. Switch 2 will also feature a second USB-C port and a new button on the right Joy-Con. We already knew that the Switch 2 will be backward-compatible with all Switch software. In late 2024, Nintendo announced that its next console will play Switch games, offer the Nintendo Switch Online service, and use the Nintendo Account system. However, Nintendo cautioned in a news release that “Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.” Nintendo said it plans to reveal more about the Switch 2 in a dedicated Nintendo Direct on April 2. https://www.polygon.com/nintendo/449283/switch-2-announced-2025-release-date-price
  10. A U.S. Air Force veteran believes he was involved in the recovery of alien technology while working for a long-rumored secret UFO retrieval program. In an exclusive interview with NewsNation, whistleblower Jake Barber said he has contracted as a helicopter pilot to retrieve all kinds of downed craft, some of which he believes are of nonhuman origin. “Just visually looking at the object on the ground, you could tell that it was extraordinary and anomalous,” Barber told NewsNation’s Ross Coulthart. “It was not human.” When asked to describe the object, Barber said: “I saw an egg, a white egg.” He added: “It’s inconsistent with anything I’d ever seen before. I can also tell you that the reaction by my team, we all knew we were dealing with something extraordinary.” Other whstleblowers, including Lue Elizondo and David Grusch, have alleged a secret government UFO program exists but Barber says he knows it’s true because he’s part of it. “Over the last couple years, it’s been confirmed to me by ranking members of the UAP task force that what we were working with that night was, in fact, NHI (nonhuman intelligence) and it was not a unique experience,” Barber said. Three high-level military veterans are backing up Barber’s story, on the record and on-camera to NewsNation. NewsNation has also obtained exclusive, never-before-seen video of one of these alleged UFO crash retrievals. That video and the full interviews will air in Saturday’s special report “Hunting UFOs: The Crash Retrieval Whistleblower” at 8p/7c. https://www.newsnationnow.com/space/ufo/uap-whistleblower-ufo-retrieval-program/
  11. I love Hawaiian pizza. Other people may think it's disgusting, but I'm a fan.
