UNLV moving into a rented NFL stadium that would be near empty was also a very bad move unlike SDSU building their new on campus stadium that would be perpetually full of excited fans with a great college football atmosphere. Go figure

He remains the best coach in Mississippi State history. If you watched the Bulldogs the past two seasons, you fully appreciate that Mullen took them to a bowl game eight times in a nine-year span while operating from the SEC’s death star division. Mullen coached Mississippi State to five bowl victories. No other Bulldogs coach ever won more than two bowl games.

When the receivers coach is named interim HC instead of the OC or DC then that is quite the statement. I imagine that we will know where that all shakes out today as the team starts prep for the LA Bowl. I would think that whatever staff is remaining is just trying to figure out what players are remaining because in this day and age of college football nothing is guaranteed. Fall semester is already over, transfer portal opens today, seniors going into the NFL draft won’t play and neither will players going into the portal. Let’s all celebrate going to our second consecutive bowl game though, if we can even field a team with what is remaining.

Odom signed a new five-year deal with UNLV in April that ran through 2028 and paid him $1.75 million this season and was scheduled to rise to $2.4 million by 2028. Congratulations Boise. Your team and your staff were very well prepared for that game. That coach and staff are definitely the real deal and you guys need to do whatever you can to keep them together. Good luck on the upcoming playoffs. I think you’ve got what it takes to give somebody a real shock.

$5mm is a pretty good price for 69 acres. Probably another million or more to demo the stadium but still a steal at $73k an acre.

UNLV fans are grateful that Fresno took care of business last week before they returned to form against a bad UCLA…
